  1. Sat. Dec. 16th: Four teams of secondary students from Superior Heights will face off against 8 other schools at the annual VEX Robotics Regional Qualifier competition. This is the 5th straight year that Superior Heights has fielded multiple teams in the annual event. Top teams from this event will earn invitations to the VEX Robotics Ontario Provincial Championships in late February and could advance to the World Championships with a strong performance there. Thanks to coaches Jenna Caputo, Colleen Mogg and Jon Budau for assisting this group of students to prepare for the competition. Interested spectators can also attend - the event takes place in the F-Wing gym at Sault College, with qualifying rounds during the morning of Saturday, Dec.16th and the playoffs running 2 to 4pm that afternoon.

IMPORTANT - Absentees

Parents of students who are absent are asked to send a note, call or email Superior Heights Intermediate School Attendance for students in the Intermediate program, and Superior Heights High School Attendance for the high school to notify the school that your son/daughter is away. This is a quick and easy way for the school to know if a child has a legitimate absence.

This website is home to the Superior Heights Collegiate and Vocational School Steelhawks.

Superior Heights C.&V.S. is located on the north-east corner of Second Line and North Street in the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

We offer a grades 9 to 12 secondary education program, along with a grade 7 and 8 program. These two programs are housed, and integrated, in the same building to allow a seamless transition from the Primary to the Secondary levels of education. Additionally, we offer a rich French Immersion program and tremendous sporting facilities including artificial turf for our football field.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is located at the juncture of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron, right on the St. Mary's river which meets all three lakes.

We are minutes from any one of these three Great Lakes and the wonderful wilderness to the north. Our population fluctuates around 75,000 people and the City is located right on the border with the United States of America. We have a twin city across the river from us, in the State of Michigan, named Sault Sainte Marie.

For more information about our beautiful city, please visit the City of Sault Ste. Marie website.
